History- January came to us from a local shelter, she had just delivered puppies and was in need of care. January has been in our care since January 21, 2026.
Personality- January didn’t come from an easy beginning, but she came through it with quiet strength and a heart still full of love. This beautiful Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix is the proud mama of the “calendar babies”—ten precious puppies she brought into the world while she herself was still learning what safety felt like. Now that her babies are growing and finding homes of their own… it’s finally her turn. January is a gentle, soft soul who is still discovering that people can be kind. She needs a calm, quiet home with a patient, loving family who understands that trust takes time and that the most meaningful bonds are the ones you earn slowly. She may be a little shy at first, but underneath that uncertainty is the sweetest girl. She loves the outdoors. Sunshine, fresh air, and peaceful moments. She finds comfort in being brushed, soaking up every bit of gentle affection. She’s learning more every day that she is safe, loved, and home. January isn’t looking for chaos or crowds. She’s looking for a peaceful home, a patient heart. Someone who will let her bloom at her own pace. She doesn’t need perfection, just someone willing to show her, day by day, that her past is behind her.
