At The Rescue Haven Inc., our mission is to save, heal, and advocate for vulnerable animals by providing compassionate, high-quality care and a path to loving, permanent homes.

As a foster-based, nonprofit rescue, we are committed to rescuing homeless, abandoned, neglected, and medically vulnerable dogs—giving each one the time, medical care, rehabilitation, and individualized attention they deserve. We believe every animal has value, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition.

Our rescue efforts primarily serve the Tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, where we work alongside municipal shelters, animal control agencies, and fellow rescue organizations to provide life-saving opportunities for dogs facing homelessness, neglect, overcrowding, or euthanasia.

Through responsible rescue practices, dedicated foster families, community education, and strong partnerships with shelters, veterinarians, and other nonprofit organizations, we strive to reduce unnecessary euthanasia, strengthen animal welfare, and create sustainable rescue solutions throughout the communities we serve.
